We love bunnies, and have a warren of housebunnies. Most of them were cast-a-ways, rescued by us, or by friends. What a joy they have been! Come visit some of them here.
Easter and Bunnies don't mix! Here is a link for more information. Please read! http://www.rabbit.org/easter/index.html
Rabbits in the classroom? PLEASE read the following articles before you say "Yes" to having or allowing a rabbit in the classroom. My reccomendation? NO pets in the classroom! Ever! And if you know of a classroom that has a pet, please consider rescuing that pet from the classroom!
Housebunnies are Bunnymom's passion, after Jesus Christ and family, of course. Happily, Bunnydad loves them too! Our household got our first pet rabbit in 1989, at the insistence of our youngest son, the last of three children and who was about to leave the "nest", who missed having a family pet after our beautiful German Shepherd, Duke, went on to doggie heaven. We missed having a pet too, but were pretty involved with business travel, work, and the stresses of everyday life. We just didn't need any more "responsibility" in our lives (or heartache, for that matter).
Well, we were wrong! Apparently we DID need some more responsibility, stress, etc., I guess ;-} ! Anyway, our son wanted a bunny rabbit. You know, tiny, easy to take care of, won't be a hassle, I'll take care of it, you'll never know it's in the house, and on and on! You know the story! So, OK we thought, "How much trouble can a bunny be?" Besides, Mom's not allergic to them. :-( So, Son went off to the local pet store to search for a bunny. If it hadn't been for this first little pet-store bunny, we would never have rescued many, many homeless buns!
There were two sister bunnies at the pet store. Son chose an agouti Netherland Dwarf female, who we named Bambi. Now, Bambi wasn't much bigger than a button and 100's of times cuter!
So, we were hooked. In fact, less than a week later, I made a trip to that pet store to buy the sister bunny, who we called Thumper. And thus started our many years of adventure and yes, sometimes heartache, with housebunnies.
By the way, being "owned" by a housebunny is NOT for the "faint-of-heart"!Follow Petunia's link, below, to read his story. At the time, we were unaware of the House Rabbit Society and the many precious bunnies awaiting adoption.
Bunnydad's pages. He has a pressure-washing business for commercial and industrial accounts. Hey, what can I say - Bunnydad's PAYING for this site! Hee hee hee

Please consider donating time, supplies, and money to these or other bunny rescue and shelter organizations. They are always in need of help, and every time you give your support to them, they are able to continue, and perhaps even expand, their efforts to care for precious furbabies. And every time you see bunny fur being worn by a human or being sold in a store, please consider reminding them that the fur really belonged to the rabbit it was stripped from!
Includes tons of information on our beloved little furbabies! CHECK IT OUT! This wonderful non-profit organization has helped me gain tons of knowledge about care and feeding of pet rabbits. Priceless! And a really great bunch of people!
This is a link to the "House Rabbit Reading Room" where you can find books on rabbit care, behavior, and other reference books. An absolute MUST reading resource page for bunny lovers!"
Zooh Corner Rabbit Rescue is a non profit, no-kill rabbit welfare organization based in Upland, California. Their mission is to "rescue, treat, spay/neuter and place as house pets, rabbits that have been abused, neglected, injured or dumped; to educate the public on rabbit health care and needs; to stop the irresponsible breeding and selling of rabbits."
The tragic and untimely death of two precious rescued bunnies prompted the creation of this web site. They also saved their family from certain death! Don't miss visiting this site!
The site features stories, poems, and lots of medical care how-to info, such as a dosage calculator for bunny meds! Charky and Ash would be proud of their site and delighted that many, many other bunnies have been blessed by it!
These are Peter's sites describing, with words and pictures,
his unusual, young life. He had serious obstacles in his little life. Both his back legs were broken in an accident; one leg had to be amputated. The pictures show Peter while his leg was healing. With lots of love and hard work, Peter's parents gave him a great little life. An incredible story!
On November 10, 2005, Peter left his loving human family behind as he scampered off to the Rainbow Bridge, no longer hampered by a missing leg. His family misses him very much. He was a very special bunny and an inspiration to all of us who followed the story of his exceptional life. We will miss him, too! Peter was 7-1/2 years old.

Peter in his Sock Suit. This picture is so cute! I could
think of all sorts of cute tag lines:
"Oops! Did I say something wrong?" or: "Oh, my,
cecal-breath!" or: Oh, well, you get the picture! I wish I
could have given Peter a real-life hug and kiss! Wasn't he
adorable?
"This group is for caretakers of disabled rabbits to share tips on the special care required for these rabbits, veterinary treatment their rabbits are receiving, and provide general support for each other. "
If you have ever had a disabled bunny and desperately need to communicate with loving people to get care and feeding information, THIS is the Group to join! There are several other bunny groups, too. There are lots of others, just do a Search on Yahoo for Rabbit Groups.
